Digital Automation have just completed training for Bluescope Steel in Indonesia. The customer required their maintenance engineers and electricians to be trained on Alspa Micro 2 drives supplied by Alstom Australia.

Also covered in the course was the serial communication interfacing between the Alspa drives on the coating product line, and a GEM80 PLC.

During the course the lecturer and students commissioned a complete Alspa Micro 2 training rig, that can be used in the future to test equipment as well as allowing the student to practice fault finding and drive configuration.

The training was a complete success and the students were much more equipped and confident on the equipment after the course
